Facial Filling Applications

Facial Filling Applications

With age, the supportive function of fat pads in the facial area decreases, the amount of collagen decreases, skin elasticity decreases, and a volume loss occurs in the skin, which leads to sagging and wrinkles. Fillers applied to the facial area according to need are aimed at regaining lost volume and moisture. Facial filler procedures can be performed not only as anti-aging but also at young ages to complete anatomically incompatible areas of the face.

Nose Filler

The working principle of filler materials is to give volume to the area where they are injected. If you want your nose to look smaller, it is unfortunately very difficult for you to benefit from filler applications. On the contrary, it will cause an increase in volume in the nose. In addition, if you are planning surgery in the future, nose filler causes difficulty in the surgery to be performed with the fibrosis tissues it creates under the skin, even if years pass. Nose fillers can be applied under and above the hump if there is a small hump in order to obtain a straighter nasal dorsum. Or, provided that it is applied in small amounts to the nose tip, some elevation can be achieved in the nose. The nose is anatomically a very complex structure and is an organ through which branches of the main vessels feeding the facial area pass. For this reason, an improperly performed nose filler can lead to serious complications. My personal opinion is that nose filler should be performed in limited situations, and especially if surgery is not planned in the future.

Local anesthesia is performed during the application. Filler material is given to the correct depths in the missing areas with small needles or cannulas. The procedure takes approximately 10-15 minutes. The duration of effect is approximately 8-12 months.

SUMMARY

  • Procedure: Nose Filler
  • Material Used: Hyaluronic Acid

  • Anesthesia: We apply local anesthetic creams before the procedure.
  • Pain Status: After local anesthesia, we deliver the filler material to the required depths and areas with generally painless maneuvers using needles and/or blunt cannulas.
  • Procedure Duration: approximately 10-15 minutes
  • Return to Daily Routine: We can return to daily routine immediately, but you need to consider that nose bandaging is done for 48 hours.
  • Result Time: After the procedure
  • Sessions: Can be performed in 1 or 2 stages.
  • Permanence: 8-12 months
  • Post-procedure recommendations: Ice application is not recommended, excessive heat, sauna, Turkish bath are not recommended.

Nasolabial Filler

The folds formed at the junction of the nose and cheek are quite annoying. Nasolabial folds that are particularly prominent at rest are usually caused by sagging of the mid-face area, so filler alone in this area may not be sufficient. In moderate folds, deep and superficial fillers can fill this area. In advanced folds, we need fillers applied to the cheekbone area and sometimes thread face lifting procedures.

  • Procedure: Nasolabial Filler
  • Material Used: Hyaluronic Acid
  • Purpose: To fill the groove around the mouth and nose.
  • Return to Daily Routine: After the procedure
  • Result Time: After the procedure
  • Sessions: Can be performed in 1 or 2 stages.
  • Permanence: 8-12 months
  • Post-procedure recommendations: Excessive facial expressions, excessive heat, sauna, Turkish bath are not recommended.

Cheekbone (Zygoma) and Cheek Filler

The purpose of filler materials applied to the cheekbone and cheek area is usually to restore lost volume in the face. However, it is also performed at young ages to give the face a V-shape, to eliminate asymmetries or for lifting purposes. Since high amounts of fillers to be applied in the facial area may result in exaggerated appearances, small amounts and gradual treatment may be preferred.

In this area, calcium hydroxyapatite fillers can also be used in addition to hyaluronic acid. These fillers work by triggering the regeneration of building blocks under the skin and have a longer-lasting effect.

Chin and Jawline Filler

When we say chin, the chin tip comes to mind, but most of the time we extend chin fillers to the side areas to tighten the parts hanging from the cheek to the chin called jawline and to complete the chin line.

The chin plays a very important role in the profile view. If the chin is behind, we see the mid-face area where the nose is located in the foreground, which is a situation that disrupts the aesthetic face perception. Hard consistency fillers applied to the chin tip ensure that the chin appears somewhat forward.

In addition, we can shape the line from the chin tip to the chin corner with filler to create a more aesthetic chin line. Filler application can also be applied to tiny wrinkles around the mouth or marionette lines that point the mouth corners downward and cause a sad face.

  • Procedure: Cheekbone, Cheek, Chin, Jawline, Marionette fillers
  • Material Used: Hyaluronic Acid, calcium hydroxyapatite
  • Purpose: To regain lost volume, correct asymmetries, fill fine wrinkles
  • Anesthesia: We apply local anesthetic creams before the procedure.
  • Pain Status: After local anesthesia, we deliver the filler material to the required depths and areas with generally painless maneuvers using needles and/or blunt cannulas.
  • Procedure Duration: approximately 15-30 minutes
  • Return to Daily Routine: After the procedure
  • Result Time: After the procedure
  • Sessions: Can be performed in 1 or 2 stages.
  • Permanence: 8-12 months, may extend to 1-2 years depending on the filler material.
  • Post-procedure recommendations: Excessive facial expressions, excessive heat, sauna, Turkish bath are not recommended
